Susan G Komen in partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is is partnering with KitchenAid to turn summer cooking and parties into a “Cooking For a Cure” event.  The 1,000 Cooks For a Cure initiative is to enlist 1,000 cooks in the US and Canada between July 19-28 to gather together in any type of get together and simply ask their guests for donations for the Komen Foundation in the US or the CBCF in Canada.

Those interested in hosting a party are encouraged to visit CookfortheCure.com to register and obtain a unique host identification number. Registered hosts will be given access to an information kit that includes party ideas, recipes and donation gathering information. To help hosts connect with guests and others planning parties, KitchenAid will feature 1,000 Cooks for the Cure as an event on its U.S. Facebook page,Canada Facebook page and provide updates via its U.S. Twitter handle in the days leading up to the event.

So if you love to cook and love get together or even if you need a reason to cook there’s no better cause than raising money to help fund research for a cure for breast cancer.
